Nine years ago, an idea spread on the Internet like wildfire, the trampoline bridge over the Seine in Paris. Although this concept quickly became popular, it was not realized until 2021. At that time the people at Dunking Devils (DD) Squad decided to use it in Slovenia, and then some people. They not only officially built the first trampoline bridge, but also created the world's largest trampoline record.

However, their construction did not stop there. They added three professional trampolines to the combination, laying the foundation for a unique entertainment event. Here is what you need to know about these record holders and the incredible freestyle trampoline competitions that showcase their unique efforts.

There are many reasons why people flock to Slovenia, from the delicious wines of the Vipana Valley to the relaxing spa baths of Dolenjske Toplice and the ethereal caves of Postojna. In 2021, tourists will add the trampoline bridge in Ljubljana to these postcard-worthy activities. So, how did this Slovenian metropolis complete the construction project originally designed for Paris? Like the famous "City of Light" in France, Ljubljana is known for its numerous bridges across the Ljubljana River-25 to be exact.

These bridges provide cyclists, pedestrians and drivers with access to various parts of the city. Some of these buildings have also proven to be picturesque, such as the Jože Plečnik Triple Bridge, which is considered the highlight of visiting Ljubljana. Despite all bridge movements, only two bridges allow individuals to bounce up to 35 feet in the air. During the Ljubljana Bridge Bounce Show on August 20-21, 2021, these temporary huge bridges stand side by side, inviting ordinary people and free-flying performers to reach new heights.

In order to integrate the Bridge Bounce event in Ljubljana, DD Squad teamed up with the event agency Extrem. Their goal? Holding an event will not only amaze and excite the audience, but also give them many opportunities to participate. The Slovenian trampoline manufacturer Akrobat puts the technical aspects of the project into practice, and the tourist offices of Ljubljana and Slovenia are fully supported by many smaller partners.

Facts have proved that the construction of two trampolines is essential to achieve the common goal of entertaining the public and attracting their participation. The first trampoline is 75 feet long and invites the audience to participate in the jump. Over the past two days, more than 5,000 people used the jumping structure and recorded more than 80,000 jumps. As for the second bridge, this larger professional structure contains Olympic-grade trampolines, including freestyle trampolines and something called "Supernova", which is an unparalleled 42 x 42-foot behemoth on the world stage. It took five days to build these two structures. More importantly, it involves 1,600 square feet of trampoline, 10 metric tons of aluminum and 15 cubic yards of safety mats.

Remember the iconic line in "Dreamland": "If you build it, will they come?" It turns out that old-school wisdom doesn't just apply to dead, barefoot baseball players. Constructing the most impressive trampoline setting in the world attracts the best freestyle swimmers in the world. People come from Sweden, the Netherlands, Austria, Denmark and many other countries. Think of it as a trampoline equivalent to Disneyland's "Little World" rides. In addition to the record-breaking trampoline draw, these contestants also want to show off their skills and win big prizes.

Craziness ensued as the competitors hit the bridge, ready to thrill and astound the thousands of spectators in attendance. The complex actions include massive jumps from three and four flips to launching participants into the atmosphere above 35 feet. Who is the number one dog? Jože Plečnik of DD Squad took the lead in the Supernova Best Trick competition. Sebastian Wennmalm (Sebastian Wennmalm) of Sweden, although only 15 years old, shines in freestyle trampoline and highest platform competitions.

Dunking Devils is known for its innovative and adrenaline-filled performances. But what are their plans for the future? They hope to bring the concept behind Bridge Bounce Ljubljana to the rest of the world. DD Squad has begun to pay attention to the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Dubai Foundation pedestrian bridge in front of Burj Khalifa. Although the plan has not yet been determined, one thing is certain: for this cutting-edge and fun trampoline enthusiast, the future looks great!
